Ireland: I miss home-cooked food

Carmel granted us off day today for us to rest and settle down. We took a 45 minutes walk to Golden Island Shopping Centre to get our stuff. We went to Tesco Supermarket and Penney's.

We had instant shepheard's pie and pizza for dinner. The pizza was a failure as it was as hard as a rock.

 



 

I came to realise that Singapore has a much wider varieties of food selection. Thai, Chinese, Malay, Korean, Jap food. I'm not used to eating western food for every meal. Salads, pizza, pasta, fast food, potatoes...

I missed home-cooked foo already!

P.S. plastic bags are not provided in the supermarket. They need to be purchased. People here usually bring their shopping bags along to put hteir stuff. They also have self-service kiosk whereby you scan your items and make payment yourself.
