Last Saturday morning, we bought the tickets and caught the train to Kildare. After one hour of ride, it was announced that the next station is Dublin (last station). We were panicking, thinking that we missed our stop. We got to know from the people around us that the train that we boarded does not stop at Kildare station. We were kind of frustrated as the guy at Athlone station (the place we boarded) told us that its that particular platform that we should board our train. After alighting at Dublin station, we went straight to the ticketing counter to explain ourselves. He reprimanded us that we should check our tickets the next time we take the train and said that we could just go to the port and board the correct train.

Actually we could reach our destination within 2 hours but because of the incident, we only managed to reach after 4 hours...From Kildare station, we took a free shuttle bus to Kildare Village. It is a shopping place with all the branded outlets stores (things are still expensive though).

We spent 6 hours there and decided to catch the last shuttle bus back to the train station. The last bus service is at 6.30pm but we were already there waiting at 6.00pm. While waiting, we were a little hungry and went to the nearby cafe to buy some food. While waiting for our food, we could actually see the bus stopping at the waiting area. We rushed to the bus and realised that the bus was full. Apparently it was the last bus service and we had to cab to the train station. I guess that day we were really down in luck. First was the train incident followed by the bus incident.
