Fun Taiwan Day 4 - 7 (台北)

DAY 4: 台北

We made a 3-day booking (10 hours each day) with the cab driver beforehand in SG and we met him at our apartment lobby.

Breakfast @永和豆漿

We saw a ceremony going on while we were on the cab and Peter (driver) suggested to get down the cab to take some photos.
 photo IMG_0270.jpg

The person was grooming the soldier's attire. He even helped him to brush off the dirt on his face hahaha
 photo IMG_0272.jpg

Then we arrived @ 陽明山. Saw this auntie demonstrating her product, the "solo tennis game". There is a string attached to the bat and everytime she hits it, the ball will rebounce to her. COOL MAN~ feel like buying but again the question: how to bring back SG?
 photo IMG_0274.jpg

 photo IMG_0275.jpg

Another 海芋 fields. The farmers are now using high-tech irrigation and farming methods which make the growth of water lily possible without submerging its roots underwater.

 photo IMG_0278.jpg

 photo IMG_0280.jpg

spot peter~ He told us that many retirees in Taiwan will resort to becoming a taxi driver and bring tourists around the island.
 photo IMG_0281.jpg

Then we went up the slopes, passed by curvy routes and here we were @ the volcano mouth of 陽明山。The wind was extremely strong!

 photo IMG_0428.jpg

We came here to see the 女皇頭...
 photo IMG_0430.jpg

 photo IMG_0432.jpg

The attraction is congested with chinese tourists. This is due to the recent allowance of 1000 china tourists into Taiwan per day to boost their tourism sector. SPOT THE PPL~
 photo IMG_0436.jpg

all queuing up to take picture with the figurine
 photo IMG_0444.jpg

We got really pissed off while queuing for our turn... I reached there first and started queuing while waiting for my family to walk there. Then my family joined in and some chinese tourists started making noises and maligned us for cutting queue. (Imagine 7 Lulus shouting at you at the same time) EH DA JIE ITS ONLY A GROUP PHOTO! NOT 5 INDIVIDUAL PHOTOS. We didn't want to re-queue, but my dad who is a SUPER MR NICE GUY, told us to re-queue tsk tsk. And so we witnessed the whole process of them having their pictures taken. Each one of them were taking their own sweet time and changing various poses. 真是的~

In conclusion, different people from different countries have different queuing style. I was just showcasing the Singaporean queuing style in a foreign country. Definition of Singaporean queuing style: One person queue first (chop place) then the other 4 people join afterwards. hahaahahaah #iloveSG

 photo IMG_0445.jpg

Can't stand the crowd!
