Last Cake Treat

This was my last cake treat in Ireland. CHRISTMAS CAKE~ hahahah Janine said that she didn't dare to eat cherries since young because her mum told her that cherry is the nose of a clown.

Christmas is coming! The whole stretch of Orchard Road is decorated with lightings. So beautiful~

Back to Singapore

I was awake from 2am - 6am on Sunday night. 25 degrees celcius difference in temperature and 8 hours difference in time. Really need some time to adjust back...

Ireland: Goodbye

Tomorrow is the day i was looking forward to since my day 1 in Ireland. I have been counting down the number of days to my return. Only until the last few days of work, my emotions struck me...

Although yesterday was my last day of work, I went into the department today to give my colleagues the thank you cards. I sat on my desk surfing the net for awhile, staring at the things on my desk and started getting emotional.

Just when I have started to get used to the place, I'm already leaving. How sad is this. Bidding goodbyes to my colleagues was the hardest thing to do. I wasn't expecting myself to cry but when all the hugs started coming, tears started rolling down my cheeks. I guess it is because of the connections and bonds built during these 3 months that have caused me to be emotional.

The past 3 months have been an enriching journey for me and definitely one of my most memorable times in my life. My boss and colleagues have been very patient and always taking care of my well-being. From the orientation week to the graduation week, I enjoyed doing all the work that were given to me and the experience I have gained is beyond my academic knowledge.

I will miss the Adult Education Team and also Tuesdays' cake treats. I'm very thankful to them for having me.

Caroline: always afraid that i'm bored

Janine: fun personality and always cracking jokes

Caring and patient Jenny

Motherly Maria

Bubbly boss Michael

THANK YOU FOR COMING INTO MY LIFE AND MAKING MY LEARNING JOURNEY A WONDERFUL ONE. I WILL MISS ALL OF YOU!

Ireland: Week 10

OMGGGGGGGG ITS WEEK 10! I SURVIVED!
I'm coming backkkkkkkkkkk. Do you miss me?
I can't wait to go home.

Ireland: The Picture of Dorian Gray

We were invited to watch an Irish play last Thurday (8/11/12) at Abbey's Theatre and that was why we were at Dublin again. The title of the play is The Picture of dorian Gray. Its about this guy who sold his soul to the devils. He agreed to do all the bad things for the devils and in return, the devils will make him look young forever. For every bad deed he commits, it will be reflected on his portrait where the image of him on the portrait will become uglier. But years later, he felt guilty and realised that he couldn't live with that on his conscience. Then he turned over a new leaf and got back his old and ugly face.

Sadly, i couldn't take any picture in the theatre as it is illegal.

This trip was actually for the Erasmus students whereby it is compulsory for them to go as it is part of their course module. And examination questions will be asked in relation to the trip content. Prof. Harman brought us around Dublin and shared with us some information regarding the history of Ireland.

We went to The Four Courts. Cameras are not allowed too. If photos are taken, you will be jailed. We actually have to go through an airport-like inspection system before entering the court. It is a supreme court that deals with disputes between people instead of crimes.

I felt like I was going on an excursion...

One of the places he brought us to was Dublin Trinity College. He said that he graduated from the college. His son and daughter were also from there. And he jokingly said that he hopes that his grandson will also enter the same college though it is too early as he is only two.

the biggest library

The birds and pigeons here v hao ming. All so fat. I think they eat steak and chips

Prof. Harman really does look like a professor haahah

ahahahah he kept bumping onto his friends in the college. so funny

his friend waiting for him behind

The lady asked me to guess the weight of the yoghurt. And if i am able to guess correctly, I will get it for free. Range given is 100g - 200g. I guessed 126g.
The answer revealed to be 130g. SO CLOSE!

Japanese Food! I think it is the substitute of Chinese food.

Ireland: Guinness Storehouse & Dublin Zoo

3/11/12

We went to Dublin again and dined in at Sushi King again.

We took the hop on hop off tour bus again and decided to alight at some of the attractions this time round.

Stop #1; GUINNESS STOREHOUSE

The storehouse showcases the manufacturing process of Guinness...

We got to taste the stout but we only took a few sips.

And they have this Gravity Bar at the top level where everyone is entitled to a complimentary drink and also able to enjoy the scenery at the same time. But it was super crowded...

The storehouse is super huge. About 6-7 levels.

Then we wanted to visit the prison but sadly all the tours were fully booked

4/11/12

We were planning to go to Dublin Zoo and cycling at Phoenix Park but it was raining! The weather forecast suddenly changed on the day itself. So we just walk around...

 ahhaaha European style tuktuk ride

This is Irish 'MRT'. They called it LUAS. I think this is quite cool! Passengers need to press a button on the door in order to board/alight the LUAS. Another difference as compared to SG MRT is that it does not only go on railway track, it also travel on the road.

 Siam Thai for dinner

5/11/12

Zoo plan changed to Monday~

 Graduation @ Trinity College

HAHAHAAHAHAHA

aahahahaha the pigeon so rude

WOAHHHHHHHH

The zoo is located in a very ulu place. We had to walk a distance to reach the place.

got a REALLY CLOSE shot of the Orang Utan! HAHAHA
